Why support SEWA

Help protect nature. Support wildlife. Restore our future.

Forests, wetlands, grasslands and wildlife are part of a delicate system that supports our water, climate, soil and communities.

At SEWA we believe protecting nature is not only about conserving what remains — it is about restoring ecosystems, supporting wildlife, and helping people build a sustainable relationship with the natural world.

Your support can help turn conservation intentions into meaningful action on the ground.

Your support can make a difference

Every contribution helps strengthen efforts that connect people, forests and wildlife.

Protecting forests & habitats

Healthy forests provide shelter and food for countless species while supporting water, climate and surrounding communities. SEWA works towards greater awareness, responsible stewardship and conservation of important natural habitats.

Supporting wildlife

Wildlife needs more than protected boundaries. It needs connected habitats, safe movement corridors, responsible human interaction, and communities that understand the value of coexistence.

Restoring nature

Damaged ecosystems can recover when restoration is planned carefully and sustained over time. Support helps enable native vegetation restoration, habitat improvement and ecological awareness.

Connecting people with conservation

Long-term conservation is strongest when people are part of the solution. SEWA brings together communities, practitioners, institutions, volunteers and nature-conscious citizens.

Where your contribution can help

Your support can help us work towards:

  • Forest and habitat conservation
  • Wildlife protection and awareness
  • Ecological restoration
  • Biodiversity documentation
  • Human–wildlife coexistence
  • Conservation education
  • Community participation
  • Nature and environmental awareness
  • Research and field-based conservation

Every contribution matters, because conservation is built through sustained effort.

What a gift pays for

Not a price list — the real unit costs of the work, so a figure means something before you give it.

  • ₹1,200 Tiger Monitoring Powers one camera trap with batteries and SD cards for a full survey season.
  • ₹3,000 Sarus Protection Funds one Sarus Mitra field guardian to protect a breeding nest for one month.
  • ₹9,000 Habitat Restoration Rejuvenates one dry-season waterhole for forest ungulates and predators.

Give for nature

You don't have to protect an entire forest alone — you can help support the people working to protect it. No payment is taken on this page and no card or bank details are collected here; someone from the office replies personally with what you need, usually within two to three working days.

Leave blank if you would rather discuss it first.

We use your details only to reply to this note. Nothing is shared with anyone else.

Would rather talk first? Call +91 9420515041 or email info.sewagondia@gmail.com.

Conservation needs all of us

No single organisation, institution or individual can solve the challenges facing nature. Conservation requires collaboration.

Governments, forest departments, researchers, conservation organisations, local communities, businesses, volunteers and citizens all have a role to play. SEWA works as part of that wider effort — connecting knowledge, people and action across Gondia, Bhandara and Balaghat.

Give with confidence

Environmental support should be built on trust, transparency and accountability. So this is exactly what SEWA is, in law and in practice — not a description of it.

A registered public trust

SEWA is a non-governmental public charitable trust registered in Maharashtra, registration F-2151 (G). It is not a government body and holds no government authority.

Nature is our shared responsibility

Forests cannot speak for themselves. Wildlife cannot negotiate for its habitat. Rivers cannot ask us to keep them clean. But we can choose to protect them.

Together we can help ensure that forests remain standing, that wildlife has space to thrive, and that future generations inherit a living, healthy landscape.
